Our Projects

1. Surta Se Srajan: Community-led Learning Center, Chhattisgarh

A collective effort toward co-creating a Community-Led Learning Center in the village Dakkotola, district Mohla Manpur Ambagarh Chowki, Chhattisgarh. This initiative enhances community learning & leadership through an inclusive, joyful learning space for children and the wider community.

Since 2022, the center has served 100+ children aged 3–14. Current focus: language & learning via music, play, art, ICT, ecology, and more. The goal is to foster lifelong learning and holistic growth. More details here

2. Tunthungamu Festival & Learning Center, West Bengal

A unique immersive program focused on indigenous knowledge, cultural preservation, and community development of the Toto tribe. Organized by Chittaranjan Toto Memorial School, Muhaan, and Pipilitara. Watch video

The Festival inaugurated a community learning center with a mini library, creative workshops, and tribal art engagement. The initiative now includes support from the West Bengal Tribal Development Department. More details here

Other Initiatives:

1. Aapno Gaon, Aapno Kuon- Rajasthan

A pilot initiative Started in August 2022 with Ojuto Gram Panchayat, Chidawa, Rajasthan to tackle drinking water and irrigation issues causing migration. Raised awareness on groundwater risks and mobilized youth for well mapping and water conservation. Collaborated with Foundation for Ecological Security and Napo Jal Bachao Kal for technical guidance. Held workshops in Ojuto and Chirawa College; initiated community-driven well mapping. The Upcoming Plans is to Build a youth cadre, promote rainwater harvesting, and monitor well levels using an app based technology.

2. Himalayan Waterscapes- Online Program

An online platform to listen, understand water and ecological stories and unite communities for ecological action- Co-initiated by Tarun Bharat Sangh, Indian Himalayas River Basins Council, and Pipilitara Foundation.

3. Participation

Engaged actively in national water forums like Tarun Bharat Ashram, World Water Conclave, Swal Nadi Yatra and Askot-Aarakot Yatra.

Participated in First General Body Assembly Meeting of the Indian Chapter of People's World Commission on Drought and Flood (PWCDF) held in Puri, Odisha on 8th-9th May attended by over 100 delegates from 11 states of the country, representing diverse river basins. Our team represented the case study of Totopara and we compiled case studies of some of our peer organizations which also got published in a souvenir titled "Water".

Participate & support in recording & documenting the five days Uttarakhand Science Outreach Program, which is organized by our peer organization Himalayan Gram Vikas Samiti (HGVS), Uttarakhand every year in Champawat and Gangolihaat, Uttrakhand.
